Identity: use a white "diaspora*" wordmark instead of the black star logo in the navbar.
Hi all!
As many of you should know, Augier has been working on the navbar, since that is coming soon, I think we could seize the opportunity to switch the black asterisk on the navbar for the wordmark.
The reason is simple, the wordmark will immediately answer the question "what is that?", when someone looks at the UI. Diaspora*, clearly marked, bold white letters.
This topic is not for commenting about the looks of the navbar, ONLY for voting which logo should be placed there

Agree on this. The identity is not visible enough.

I don't like it more than the other logo, which was more subtle and kinda intrigious. But I don't like it less either and after all these years it's maybe time for a change. So let's get it on!

I prefer it as it is. I like the fact that Diaspora doesn't need to indulge in 'in-your-face' brand-bashing. Let's keep the UI subtle, understated and elegant!

I'm fine with the full wordmark for wide screens ; single asterisk should be kept for small mobile screens.

Oh, come on. I'm with goob on this one, there's really no need and branding within an application for everyday isn't good practice.

I support changing the color to white: I had to adjust my screen settings in order to make the black asterisk somehow visible. And I support using the wordmark instead of the mere asterisk, as per Pablo's reasoning on the visibility of the identity.

I'm with goob on this one, there are other solutions and branding within an application for everyday isn't good practice in my opinion.
