Mezzanine Idea
What do people think of having the mezzanine area set up for random make stuff together workshop things and easels that can be pushed aside for art? There wouldn't be anything living under the leaky zone, but we could use that area.

I think desks and art and presentation space can go together.
Regardless of placement, drop cloths would be a smart idea. If someone spills paint no one else needs to step in it.

If we make a painting area, some easy-to-fold-back plastic tarp and some old ready-to-get-dirty blouses would be great to have if needed.

drop cloths are canvas and absorb paint rather than tarp which gets paint on your foot for you to track around!

That's a good idea.

FYI the leak on the roof has been closed, we should just keep an area around the roof and the floor free so it can be repaired

related: there's a broken beam under the water damage in the floor, so we shouldn't walk on this too much

Thanks for telling us!

we have maybe 6 desks available, I recon some could go upstairs and maybe a corner starts to become 'electronics'?

Good idea, but we will need to rearrange the mezzanine to install electronic stuff + leave place for the workers-to-come.

Sounds good, one thing is that the upper floor is carpeted, while the lower floor is not, so maybe this will be harder to clean paint from?
A company wants to donate MANY desks to the space in a week or so, so we might be able to set some up upstairs and downstairs?
