It looks like the term for the President and Vice Presidents has elapsed, and this meeting on Oct 20th was the intended time to choose new officers....
The most recent board meeting of October 20th had the following discussion:

I want to nominate as vice-president Angelos. In my opinion we need a person in Europe and Angelos has a wide experience in many OSGeo projects, from the Live-DVD to single packages.

So we got a chicken and egg situation here with a discussion (about replacing our current vice-presidents) with nominations of a replacement.

Venka can I ask why we would replace our vice-presidents at this time? I am trying to remember back to when we set up the vice-presendent positions at the face-2-face meeting if we had any requirement for these officers to also be board members?
Near as I can recall the vice-president position is there to provide you some back up (so you can take a holiday) and to share the workload (since your "office" takes on any work not covered by committee).

* Term of this President/VP:Until the next board initial meeting after new board election.
* DF(Suggestion): need to change board members 2 yrs term to 3 yrs. This is a part of strategic plan of OSGeo.(JG)
So I seem to have my answer, the term of President/VP is until the next board initial meeting.
