Hi All! I'm Chris Jackson, a geologist based at Imperial College in London, UK. I like geology and cake. And beer. Or wine. Oh, and preprints. But I'm mainly here for the cake.

Hello, I am Victor. My day job is the quality of climate station data.

I am a fan of Open Access and interested in Open Science.

My main reason to be here is that I hope archives help more people to get access to research.

In the long run a preprint repository would also be a beautiful foundation for a new system of curation and review of scientific articles by the research communities themselves. I want to start with articles already published in journals, but when gains credibility, we would no longer need the reviews of the journals. I call it Grassroots Scientific publishing.

Hi All, I'm Brandon Whitehead. I'm working as a data scientist in the UK while I finish my PhD from the University of Auckland. My background is in hydrogeology, GIScience and...geoinformatics. I like data. I like lots of disparate data. I like it even more when data isn't in a proprietary format, and is well documented.

IMHO, the current ways in which we share our data, information, and context is so antiquated it is, sometimes literally, painful. i'm interested in anything that changes the current paradigm, and projects like this one are, I hope, just the beginning.
