From 10 March to 2 April 2017 E-Discussion on E-Commerce: "Towards inclusive E-Commerce"

Hello everyone,

From the UNCTAD Youth Team, a big thank you for having participated in this e-discussion on e-commerce.

Your comments were not in vain. How?

1) A report was prepared with the main outcomes and posted online. Also, about 280 young men and women joined a session with youth during the 2017 UNCTAD E-Commerce Week where the discussion was continued and this, in the presence of Jack Ma, founder and chairman of the chinese Alibaba Group and UNCTAD's Special Adviser for young entrepreneurs and small business and Mukhisa Kituyi, Secretary-General of UNCTAD.

2) A youth representative made a statement at the closing session of the UNCTAD E-Commerce Week where 3 priority actions were brought to the attention of government officials and private sector representatives.

and finally,

a youth campaign is going to be launched in the next few days to raise awareness about the need for youth to receive support in young entrepreneurship.
