Online Consultation Process of the Civil Society Forum of the Western Balkans Summit Series - Security

We invite Balkan-based think tanks, civil society organisations, individual experts and academics to contribute to online consultations on Internal Security within Berlin Process Cooperation. The purpose of this consultations is to provide a venue for civil society to showcase its expertise and views on internal security governance in the region. We want to map both national and region-wide security challenges, as well as identify solutions and best practices that can serve as a model for future policies.

This is an opportunity for your organisation to promote relevant research and proposals that you have done by upoloading them in this forum. The topics that will be discussed in more detail are:

a. Counter-Terrorism and Countering Violent Extremism

b. Tackling Illicit Trafficking of Small Arms & Light Weapons

c. Improving information exchange between law enforcement, anti-money laundering and criminal justice agencies nationally and regionally

d. Fostering talent of security and law enforcement professionals through human resources reforms

By submitting your input until 10 April 2018 you become eligible for joining Civil Society Forum’s workshop for formulation of recommendations in Vienna in the end of this month. Therefore, we kindly invite you to leave the name of your organisation and contact details. The brief with joint proposals will be shared with the UK in May and then distributed to all EU and WB6 governments taking part in London Summit.

Please, invite other relevant CSO to join this consultative process.
