Hello!

I am haneen, I've been attending a few of the reading group sessions and would really like your attendance and or critique of a workshop collaboration with the National Army Museum that the oral history project I work with is holding, please! ...

'The workshop held at the museum's storage space, includes: consultation and discussion, reinterpretation including access to objects from the collection, on colonial Commonwealth soldiers in the First World War. Most importantly it will give you the opportunity to take part in bringing the Muslim British soldiers' stories, over the past century to the museum’s collection re-launch in 2016.' More necessary info below

-Please let me know as soon as possible if you can attend,as we have to confirm numbers and please share it around.

-If not enough decolonial thought is brought to this, I think it will be a tokenisation process, the museum would have sought a 'Muslim' group's advice and will be 'diversifying', and for me will not be successful,it needs to be decolonial and critical if it can be a successful step, however small.

-Also if you have the time, can you let me know what you think of this collaboration,if it works,or how it can work,is it hypocritical, can it be/actually be decolonial, how? what are your criticisms/thoughts?
In relation to any approach you think of,and any way you react to it, from the range of people and ideas at the book group, this will be an invaluable response, so please consider replying, thank you .
I have been thinking in terms , the national army museum and it's intrinsic Imperial purpose and nature, 'diversifying vs decoliniality', the whole migrants "contribute" factor, and which Muslims will be presented and how much will the racism and exploitation of "colonial soldiers" and "fighting tyranny for tyrants" independent movements be highlighted ,and the commentator and remember ace of soldiers now to propagate nationalism and current wars, etc.
