Does anyone have experience of opencollective.org

Another Loomio group I’m in has been discussing opencollective.org. Ayone here had direct experience of it?

Hi Rory. I'm guessing perhaps that you are referring to the posts I've made in the Platform 6 development group. I've spoken now with Xavier (one of the co-founders of OpenCollective), and his brother Dimitri who is running the UK chapter. I'm also interested in other people's take on this, if anyone had had experience. I know that https://social.coop uses it. If Platform 6 is to use it, and I'm in process of setting that up as a firm proposal) then we can offer a better rate for projects and organisations that want to come in under our 'umbrella'. It would be great if Fairshares wanted to do that - you could be one of our first!

OpenCollective charge a percentage to use there host. Social.coop was using this OpenCollective host, but we recently teamed up with another org to reduce the fee.

@roryridleyduff be sure to propose to team up with social.coop if Platform 6 becomes a host...

The thing that looked attractive is that you can enable subgroups to share use of a PayPal account. In the past, people in Keyna, Nigeria and Eastern Europe have started discussions on a local group. Would opencollective.org be suitable for that?
