Anyone else wants to see all of the above articles of association on a single page?

I'm happy to compile them in one page if @cliff1 @fairshares agree.

I am happy with that

Jeff - I'm not keen to bypass the Rules Generator as it is the only way we know who is testing out/trialling FairShares model rules. Also, I do not think that having the same information on more than one page of the Wiki is helpful in maintaining the quality and consistency of the information supplied.

The templates for generating rules are not easy to read as they have numerous variables embedded - these are replaced by the text that a user of the Rules Generator inputs when they generate a set of rules.

The results of using the Rules Generator are editable Word documents so anyone can generate rules and edit the results now. As there are quite a few variations (and different language versions), I think the best approach would be to upload examples of actually registered FairShares associations, companies and cooperatives, rather than the model rules (which are amongst our most precious assets as an association).

What do you think?

Hi Rory, I'm not sure how the Rules Generator would be affected or bypassed.

My proposal is simply to put the contents of all sections on one page so people can read everything in one page. Hope that makes sense? Currently, the page contains only the section titles (like Definitions, Capital, Governance, etc.) and we have to click the respective section links to see the content in another page.

I understand having everything on one page would create a much longer page. It will only be presented as an option as seen in the image attached here (highlighted in red).

Jeff - I would encourage you to cut/paste the information you want on one page into a single document, then create a PDF from it and embed a link to the PDF in this page. You can then send that document to people if you need.

I really would not encourage the duplication of information in a Wiki in more than one place (if you edit one page, you forget the other, and the inconsistencies get unmanageable over time).

This is primarily a technical reference (with many other documents containing links to specific pages for specialised support).

If you want to read more systematically about FairShares governance, there are other much better sources.

I would recommend 'The Case for FairShares (book) or the book chapter on 'The Internationalisation of FairShares' (which looks at practice against each of the areas of governance). I have attached them both to this response.

Beyond that, there is the page https://fairshares.coop/publications (which contains the currently known publications on FairShares, or articles that contain discussion of it).

Jeff/Cliff - I'm amended this page so that it has:
a) A link to all the companies rules that people generate using the Rules Generator
b) A link to the FCA Accepted Model Rules for a FairShares Cooperative (Cooperative Rules)
c) A link to FairShares Association Ltd's own Articles of Association (Non-Profit Association Rules)
d) A link to SEi (FairShares) Ltd's Articles of Association (Company Rules)
