New Guidelines for Voteholdership

DK Dakota Kaiser Public Seen by 233

Since the "Simplify Voting Round Process" appears that it is going to pass, i am setting a 10 day time period for this vote. If the simplify voting round process proposal passes, this vote will pass with a minimum of 75% Consensus.

I move to make it a requirement for voteholders to donate 1000 Keys to the EN Reserve to become a voteholder. This proposal will supersede all other requirements to be a voteholder. No longer will voteholders need to actively play on a team, be part of a partnered/sponsored organization or have to hold 1000/2000 Keys. This donation of 1000 keys will be required for all existing to retain voteholdership in addition to all new voteholders.

Our bilaws states that each voteholder must hold 1000-2000 keys (depending on when they came in) to retain voteholdership, if they are not actively on a team or if they are not a leader of an allied organization.

As we've recently shifted over onto waves, there is no longer a way for us to easily track who has what keys. It is technically possible, but quite a resource challenge to do so.

So now were asking for you to allow the EN to hold those keys instead.

The big thing that has changed here, for most voteholders, is that now were asking for a lifetime commitment.

  1. Our most invested voteholders have given anywhere between tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars of time, resources, connections, and assets into the EN Center Pool. Our most vested voteholders, that our most active chatroom voters very rarely, if ever, directly interface with, very much wish to ensure that other voteholders have at least a minimum amount of stake in this game.

So this proposal is removing sponsored organizational leaders of organizations that do little with the EN other then share in our publicity.

IT is also ensuring that people working with the en can't be giving a vote after a few days of joining a team. Instead, it requires 1-3 months of active participation and an investment of time to gain a vote.

Finally. This proposal will create demand for keys while reducing the supply, making all Keys more valuable. Which is something those of us that have earned of purchased quite a few keys.... very much want.

I think many of us forget sometimes that we have pooled millions of dollars in land access and hundreds of thousands of dollars in virtual property (such as websites, web pages, graphics, videos, articles, followings, ect) here together. To ask voteholders to contribute a meager 1000 keys to have a say in how we distribute our resources really is not that much to ask.
