Limited post : information about who can see it.

E Elm Public Seen by 63

Once a message has been posted by me to some aspects (list of contacts) I see no ways of knowing who can see the post if i forgot it afterwhile.

There could be a list of contacts or aspects on mouse hoover (over the "limited" word) only showing up for the owner of the post.

There could also be an option (chosen by the poster) to allow any contacts on the limited list to see who can access the post.

On the first point, there's an open issue in Github. It just needs someone to choose to build it!

On the second, not sure. There are likely privacy leaks possible there, for example if I am in one of your aspects and you post something and select this option, it means that other people can see that I'm in an aspect of yours, which I might not want. And I suspect that it would involve a lot of work to create such a feature, with little benefit even if the privacy concerns could be dealt with.

It's always worth using the search bar on both Loomio and Github before opening a discussion, to see what previous discussions/issues there are about the same thing. :)

@goob One could design this feature in a way, that only the post's author can see the persons, with whom s/he shared it ;-)

I agree with @ryunoki , to avoid privacy leaks only the post's author should see the persons who can view it.

Other people shouldn't read who are the destinataries of the post, neither people inside the aspect (they can see who are in the aspect!).

I don't remember if there's a checkbox when creating/editing the aspect that say "people can view aspect list"...

That is point 1, which already has an open issue on Github (I think that was Ryuno-ki's joke).

I don’t remember if there’s a checkbox when creating/editing the aspect that say “people can view aspect list”…

There is. But that allows people within one aspect to see the other members of that aspect; it doesn't allow someone to see to which aspects another person has made a post visible.
