Out of the governance meeting last week, there was a strong movement to have an order of operations of defining roles in the roles sheet before officially approving anyone for regular rewards :-D
Jeff and Michael have their roles now well defined:

Thanks for the input all, and I appreciate the need for more communication. It has been a hectic learning curve, but I have shifted from a Learning phase to a Community Building phase with all the conferences lately, and very much look forward to moving into a Communication phase over the next few weeks. Some plans for further communication:
- presence at 1+ Giveth call per week
- regular articles around the project we are building
- video series with Kris to explain our concepts more generally

I look forward to spreading the news about this awesome project we are working on!

Tension:
Jeff is doing everything he can to make the vision of a better world possible through new models of collaboration using the latest research in bonding curves, TCRs, and governance mechanisms. He's pouring his heart and soul into the effort, and he's not gonna stop, so we might as well pay him for it =) (Why is he writing in the third person though?)

Proposal
Let's move Jeff from part time to full time on the Giveth Gov Campaign, because he has been working hard on several fronts of this project:
1. Connecting communities of like-minded individuals who are working on similar problems, from Curation Markets to TCRs to Bonding Curves across the industry

  1. Working to build out the practice of Token Engineering with BlockScience, translating their brilliant ideas into applicable concepts, and communicating them internally to the Giveth team and to the community at large

  2. Help develop funding models for open R&D into Token Engineering for open source use by the entire crypto industry

  3. Lead the process of white paper generation around Giveth's version of this project, which we're calling the Curry Model. This will allow the creation of economies around causes, to align the profit incentive with socially beneficial behaviour. If it works, maybe it can even solve some of the world's biggest problems!

If this proposal passes, Jeff will work full time leading the design and research of this innovative funding model to be built for communities on top of the Giveth DApp. He will lead the creation of a design spec for this system and advise on its implementation. He will also work with Michael to make a road map and make sure his project can work with the roadmap of the other stakeholders, and communicate the scope of this project to the rest of the Giveth Galaxy as information becomes available.

He will get 700 DAI a week from the Gov Campaign. As a bonus, he is very well versed in digital marketing and can contribute a lot to the Comms circle at some point when he has more cycles available.

Jeff will fulfill one main role and several side roles in the Giveth Galaxy (as time permits) , which are pasted here:

Main Role:
Product Owner for Curation Market DAO: "Drive forward progress building the Curation Market DAO."

Side Role:
Marketing/Comms/Processes Consult: "Assist Communications circle with any required branding/marketing/advertising"

Side Role:
Community Connection for R&D Funding of Token Engineering: "Connect various TCR & Curation Markets communities to share ideas, failures, progress, and R&D research around the practice of Token Engineering"

I was writing a response but ran out of characters. I don't feel opposed to this but are several precedents I would not like to set (and may previously have happened) so would ideally like to discuss things further, however my concerns don't necessarily have an answer in current formation. As I do not wish to block you for the sake of being pedantic, abstain. One idea you elucidated in me though was the notion anti-roles, or what one doesn't do at Giveth as I find this too defined in unspecifics

Agreeing if Jeff would also start going through the Unicorn onboarding process (which does not mean being a Unicorn immediately), but part of this is attending the roles meeting & community meeting regularly. Comms meeting just maybe once a month on top of this would be cool too, so we stay in the loop. Exactly bcs his work is so important I'd like this to be part of the proposal, if not Jeff would be the least integrated member of the team, and that would be a pity for all of us.

I'm feeling Kris on this, I know Jeff is working full time and I'm sure Griff is in tune / sync with what's happening.. And, I'd like to see him at minimum for Community meeting since that's where we connect and share our recent successes and challenges. Roles meeting would be ideal, but if Jeff isn't interacting with others much then it would be overdoing it to ask him to participate in the scoring aspect.
