Catering and Pricing

JR James Rakich Public Seen by 4

We don't want to have people needing to leave to grab a bite to eat so I'd like to have Pair Cider catered. Dicken's Ciderhouse is a BYO Food venue with a range of places open nearby to order in from, so I think the best way to handle it is to decide on a budget to work with and go from there.

Would people be willing to pay some sort of door price to cover food for the event, or would you prefer we secure sponsorship? Or maybe a bit of both?

Well that answered my previous question. whoops.

Personally I prefer either sponsorship or people contribute to food if they want food. So possibly a weekly arranged thing. That'd make it harder for walk-ins to partake in the foodening but a) I'm not sure if this is a walk-in type of event and b) it'd suck if people didn't feel like they could come because it suddenly cost money each time they turned up. I know I never have cash on me and am not good at turning up to events when I know I need to bring a cover with me.

Yeah, I don't really see it as a walk in style event, I want it to be organised ahead of time so numbers are set and so are pairs, mainly so it's a productive use of people's time rather than a hangout. Will think a bit more.
