"Try It" / Sandbox / Demo - a better experience for first time users wanting to see how Loomio works

Any beginner in using Loomio, have access to the 'Tryit' option, the website www.loomio.org where you need to create a new group and is appointed coordinator of the new group. For beginners it is very difficult to successfully use the Loomio tool.

The success and image of Loomio is very important, therefore it is best to replace the aforementioned link 'Try it' for access to existing groups with demonstrated success, especially in the formative aspect of optimum utilization of Loomio.

It is my humble opinion.

We've been thinking about this for a long time and haven't really found the answer... we know a lot of people sign up for Loomio just to try it out and see how it work. But it's hard to have a good experience by yourself! People need some kind of sandbox or other way of seeing how the software works, without starting dummy groups. The Explore page was originally about solving this. We also invite people to join the Loomio Community group to participate. But maybe we also need some kind of demo group?

I think this makes a lot of sense. I'd be happy to help to make a demo if others are up for it.

Is also negative for beginners automatic example discussion that adds Loomio Helper Bot in creating a new group (I comment on a new discussion)

Very good idea to create the sub-group 'Beginners - demonstration':
a) So many sub-groups as languages enabled for demonstrations
b) Loomio selects, appoints and identifies users who are collaborators who act as teachers for each enabled language
c) use as examples to existing discussions, or created specifically
d) teach beginners, as is the best way to use Loomio.
e) Collaborators who act as teachers need direct contact in Loomio for consultations.
f) The email that accepts Sign up a new user Loomio, indicating the link to the website of the demonstration in the user's language.

@alanna Congratulations, you have already removed the access button "Try" at the top right of the website.

The beginner continues with the same problem: the first access button is "Try out Loomio" to create a new group, when not yet know what it means

@alanna I propose

1- Place a button link to the Explore page stuck to the link See more about how Loomio works

2- Move the current link Try out Loomio to a later position to the link See more about how Loomio works and Explore page

In this new position (not the first) still generates the same problem to beginners Loomio.

In my humble opinion, before being expert at creating a group, you have to be an expert in Discussions and Proposals.

The frustracción may be the origin of disillusionment and failure of new user
