Theme Camp Placement 2019

PP Paul Phare Public Seen by 83

Welcome Theme Camp Leads. This is a forum to discuss the placement of theme camps this year. I've attached a Google Map showing our first draft. Feel free to come in with any issues you might have or suggestions for improvement

The consensus in Mojo is that we're happy with the placement (looks flat enough)

Just to confirm the plan for the path means we're going to be facing the other way round this year?

Yes, we damaged the field last year so the landowner prefers us to use the road. We're putting down a path to protect the grass were we are using the field

Do I recall the presence of a small fence along the road though?

The fence will be taken down this year :)

Hello. I'm glad to be part of this discussion as they was something I wanted to ask.

Last year I had to move my tent to near flight academy as due to my disability I wasnt able to camp where I was for a few reasons. Mainly struggling with the hill and being too far from a disabled toilet.

Where I moved to was perfect as I was able to get to the theme camps, the toilet and it was much flatter.

So my question is, this year is there an area where those with mobility issues could choose to camp if they wished to?.

I know not everyone wants to be labled by their disability or they might want to camp with their friends as their friends might not be able to camp with them in such a small defined area.

However, asking for myself, and if it helps anyone else then thats great ❤️

Many thanks Claire

Dear Claire

Thanks so much for your post it was useful so there will be designed accessible camping ie not in the free camping field

I think I will make a poll so we can see where it would be best placed

What are your thoughts? On te best place for accessible camping

Hi Claire, there is an accessible camping area which will meet all your needs. It's near The Point

Its also worth pointing out (no pun intended!) that there is a second free camping area this year also, which for anyone there last year is where Crumpet was last year. Or looking at the map, at the top left of the 'yellow' camps.

And while this is not as near the road, it may be a good compromise for some people who do not want to be in the field up the top.
