Examples of "Women in Commons Transition"?

NS Nick S Public Seen by 103

I discover that one of my neighbours is a freelance producer who creates short segments for BBC Radio 4's long running Woman's Hour programme.

She told me she's always looking for interesting things to broadcast about, and even said that my attempt to explain the P2P Foundation/Commons Transition was "interesting", so I thought I'd accept the challenge and ask here:

Does anyone has any suggested Commons Transition topics which might be appropriate material for a short reportage slot on Woman's Hour?

Elinor Ostrom comes to mind, but I'm sure there are lesser known topics deserving coverage. Whatever it is, links to background would be appreciated!

A good place to start is our series: 100 Women who are co-creating P2P Society. More interviews soon. I'd also recommend @nataliaavlona's work

I suspect it doesn't have to be about any one specific woman if the topic is relevant and interesting to the women listening. But there needs to be a connection to womens' issues, so that it fits into the general format of the programme.

The programme's webpage (linked above) is probably the best guide to the kind of topics which fit...

I'd love to see Riane Eisler approached for this show: https://blog.p2pfoundation.net/riane-eisler-partnership-model-society/2016/03/28

There’s Our Ways of Knowing: Women Protect Common Forest Rights in Rajasthan and a number of other chapters on customary and contemporary commoning, in Patterns of commoning.

Good initiative @wulee I'm guessing you've had a skim through the list of talks here for ideas?

@sharonede do you know of a talk by Riane Eisler available on the web that could be added to this list? @staccotroncoso same for Natalia Avlona?

We can facilitate interviews with our network of "Mutualization of Birth Giving" by the mothers themselves. You can read with google-translate the following article:

Any questions, welcome.
