Let's use Loomio to coordinate.
We need better tools for
* perceiving e-NABLE activities and opportunities
* making decisions
* engaging in effective action
We need tools that are appropriate and scalable for a distributed network of semi-autonomous chapters and individuals.
Loomio was inspired by the Occupy movement. It seems promising. Let's try it out?

Let's have all activity here be usable for research. Closed Sat 1 Jul 2017 3:02PM
In the best possible case, this will begin a new era of self-organized e-NABLE governance. it's a worthy experiment. I propose that by default, all activity be usable for publishable research.
Recognizing that not everything should be public, I propose also that we use #PRIVATE to flag any communcations we don't want shared.
By way of background (and to encourage others to play along, the attached file shows other group settings we need to agree on).
June 30. Based on Everton's comment, I'm amending this to acknowledge that the group should be private and joinable only with approval. That way, external bad actors can't abuse the data but internal (presumably good actors) can use the data while respecting the PRIVATE flag.

I agree with all points.
Just on the group settings I propose to change from Public to Close. If the group is Closed the only change is that we can have private threads that only group members can see. So we can share sensitive data with more control. The #PRIVATE flag works fine inside the group, but in a Public group anyone that have not agreed opon it may use the sensitive data in a wrong way.

OK Jon, I'll do that like an update to this post, so what we vote here will not be affected.

Excellent point Everton. Make it a proposal and I'll vote for it.
