I've been working with Kendraio and others to design an API and possibly a 'front-end' to managing print for commons . What I'm thinking is that much software out there (ignoring for a moment the proprietary/non proprietary matters etc) is designed for 'sharing' within corporates and companies across different cost centres etc. We've discovered that, to make sharing of common pool resources possible in the Greetings Card industry (where we are focusing for a proof of concept project) - lots of tools are already out there. I'm wondering if any work has been done to identify useful tools for commoning already in existence, which just need to be used in a different model. I'm looking at this example of Print Management Software which already allows sharing and 'open' printing - with allocated cost accounting: https://www.papercut.com/tour/mobility-print/ So, it should be simple enough to integrate it with a common pool resource system; 'Licensed' print 're-sellers' can be licensed under contributory commons terms - what occurs is that other business models can no doubt be co-opted in this way: - Maybe a bit specialist but just putting this 'out there'.... Thoughts, reflections welcome as ever... LM

No idea whether this could be of value, but coincidentally someone just posted this on the CoTech discourse site about an open print management system: https://community.coops.tech/t/seeking-partners-for-savapage-open-print-portal/1548
