Default page for users with only one Group
One obstacle I am seeing with new users of Loomio who are not expert internet users is that they have trouble finding subgroups and other group specific options and information (such as the member list). That is, it takes some time to figure out that they need to go to the Group homepage for that stuff (rather than the Dashboard) to access those group-specific features. I'm thinking that the new user experience would be smoother if their Group homepage were the default page they arrive at after logging in, rather than the dashboard. The dashboard should only become the default page after a new user becomes a member of multiple groups so that a separate Dashboard page makes sense.

Use the Group homepage as the default page for users in only one Group Closed Mon 29 Sep 2014 1:05AM
Closed proposal so someone can rewrite it as a suggestion to the developers. I was perhaps overly bold to make a proposal without understanding the process better.
Make the Group homepage the default landing page for users in only one Group (especially new users), rather than the Dashboard. Once a user joins multiple groups, the Dashboard will become the default landing page.

On the face of it seems like a cool idea. I'd prefer the proposal to be framed as a suggestion to the developers though :)

Great idea Tim. I'm hesitant to agree to a final UX, but I absolutely agree with the sentiment.
