NEEDED: Community Working Group Ops Team Member + At Large Member Closed Sat 24 Aug 2019 2:01PM

The Community Working Group Operations Team, which oversees the moderation of our instance, is looking for co-op members to step into two open roles, described briefly below. If you are potentially interested in taking one of them on, please respond to this poll.

CWG Ops Team Member:
Key responsibilities:
- Attend monthly team Zoom call (4:30p-5:30p Eastern US on 2nd Sunday of the month).
- Take on a week-long moderation shift in which you are responsible for processing moderation reports and onboarding new members (when the team is at full strength, once per 5 weeks).
- Engage in discussion on the Loomio subgroup around tricky moderation situations brought up by the on-call person, membership engagement initiatives, etc.

Compensation: $10/monthly meeting attended + $30/weekly on-call shift.

At-Large Member: The group has two seats for volunteer "at large" members, whose role is to ensure a non-operational user perspective is present in the group's work. The At-large member's main responsibility is to attend the monthly meeting - they are not expected to take on-call shifts or engage in other group operational tasks.

I'm interested in the At-Large Member Role

I remain interested in what social.coop is about, but recently haven't been present much in the mastodon feed. So, a little detached and likely to remain so - busy elsewhere, medium term.

I'd be happy to help with ops or any development that needs doing!
