Notes on Site Managers and being on/off duty (in general)

H Hippie Public Seen by 2

The Site Manager should feel empowered to make decisions, it is there duty to make them and the duty of others to follow them. No decisions of the Site Manager can be turned over in the moment (expect by the Head of Security) instead problems can be raised at the daily meeting and then escalated to the Excom if needed.

When you are off duty, you do not need a radio and will not carry one unless otherwise requested by the Site Manager / Head of Security. Also, if you are off duty, you will not involve yourself in situations that are occurring unless otherwise requested by the Site Manager / Head of Security.

The above paragraph is really important to me, I saw alot of thing needless escalate out of control because of people needlessly getting involved, perhaps even myself at times. I think having this distinction of on and off duty will not only save our own individual sanity but the sanity of all our event staff)
