Dust, danger and food
The CNC has demonstrated admirable dust-creation potential, we probably don't want this dust to get into the food or anywhere near the metalworking machines or to spread over the whole space. Cameron offered to get a dust extractor which will help a lot
The laser cutter also can create pretty toxic fumes, so needs to be vented.
Lets start planning how to keep this at bay, what changes we want to make to the space to manage it and how we're gunna do them

Big Free Shelving for possible CNC Wall? Closed Sat 1 Jul 2017 2:01AM
Agreed to take it into the space, just trying to arrange a time with the neighbours to move it - gunna move electronics upstairs as space is running out downstairs
Neighbours are offering us this big bit of shelving which we could maybe put around the CNC and build wall onto the back of - shall we get it in the space?
I believe it splits in 2

I believe we need more shelving anyway and maybe this makes a good start on the wall

Have moved the ghetto-kitchen to where the couches are, against the stairs, away from the metal chips and wood dust
Cameron is alright with paying for an extractor floor unit thing, but I think we might need to build a settler/cyclone
A professional CNC installer was at the space yesterday and suggested this, as well as having filters on the extractor for the very fine stuff
