This discussion is for important things that need to be collectively decided on, at our next Hui. eg. Do we need to form a National Timebanking Body? Do we want CW2 on a NZ server? Should all Timebanks in NZ have same joining rules? What is the best form of communication for Timebank coordinators? Who should be responsible for managing, moderating & monitoring the TBANZ site? Who has permission to apply for National Timebank funding? etc. Hannah & Paul looking forward to your feedback on this should each topic be a whole new discussion or is it better to have general topic headings and sub topics underneath?

This Loomio Group is a Trial Which May Produce Helpful Proposals Closed Thu 6 Sep 2012 3:57AM

This Loom.io Group is a trial to see if the Loomio tools can help folk from TimeBanks around the country conduct focused discussions, shape proposals, and find consensus on actions to be taken. As such, it has no decision-making power over TBANZ as an unincorporated countrywide organisation. That said, if consensus emerges here, participants may choose to take a proposal back to their local TimeBank groups, who may choose to act on it.

Yes I agree, it makes sense to use this as a trial, with the option of acting on decisions made if there is consensus.

I think we are getting clear on the areas for discussion and that this is just a trial area. But this is good progress. Let's keep going and also get more representation for other coordinators so that it does become a place for consensus

Sounds solid, just keep in mind as we bring in more people they'll probably bring cool ideas we haven't thought of yet.

Just want to make sure we are all agreed on the nature of this work, at this time. Also it's sometimes good to pluck 'low-hanging fruit', increasing the groups confidence that it can reach consensus on harder issues.

Use this discussion to build a hui agenda - hold more detailed discussion on agenda items in their own thread Closed Fri 26 Oct 2012 2:09AM

General agreement, with the understanding that this Loomio group can help to frame and explore issues, and gather facts, but it's up to those at the hui what actually gets discussed.

This discussion can be used to collaboratively build a hui agenda, including brief comments to explain and clarify the agenda item. If we want to hold a more detailed discussions on a particular agenda item, we start a new discussion thread for that topic.
