Thanks for sharing Nathan. I know Mark is working with the IWW and couriers at the moment, and there are the recent Mcstrikes. Sion and I are keen to get sponsorship for his 12 December Worker Co-op workshop in London and were thinking we could frame this sponsorship around alternatives to the gig economy and general some interest in co-ops with newly emerging freelance unions and campaigns.

Happy to consider this. We don't actually have a voting membership until we launch the membership offer (imminent). How quickly do we need to make a decision?

Thanks Mark. The workshop is on 12 December, so it would useful to launch a small media campaign to offer the places by mid-November. Does that sound workable?
Thanks!

To make this easier and to road test our draft proposal process could you @jonnygordonfarleig or @nathanbrown complete and return the attached proposal form to to [email protected] ? Any feedback on the form gratefully received.

@jonnygordonfarleig and @nathanbrown we've got a directors' meeting tomorrow. Any chance you could complete the very short proposal template? We could make a decision then.

There is a small bit of funding also needed to fund travel for advocates to go and speak to courier networks in several UK cities about the worker co-op option. Was originally thinking SolidFund, but P6 an option too.

Stir To Action are looking for organisations to sponsor places on their New Economy Programme at £75 a head so that people who might otherwise not be able to afford to attend are able to. Given the content of the workshops is congruent with Platform 6 aims - with specific sessions on Worker Co-ops and Community Shares/Community Ownership I wondered if Platform 6 should sponsor some places, especially given our recent windfall from Co-operatives South East. They are offering co-branding on the workhops that are sponsored so might be a nice tangible way to demonstrate that Platform 6 is making a difference, and promote it to a receptive audience! Co-op Cultue sponsored 2 places and I'm aware that Co-op Futures, Suma and others are involved as partners.
***Declaration of interest: I am doing some development work with Stir To Action (Worker Co-op Articles sent off to Co Hse last week) on a very reduced day rate as a long term project.
