Hi, I am a retired group systems researcher and IT professional currently serving as a decentralizer in DivvyDAO.org, RChain.coop, CoCloud.coop and related communities. My focus is on interoperable communities in the decentralized world. I have been excited by the hi-project and am happy to see it being reborn here.

Hullo,

My name's john—I've been doing community work for social change for 7+ yrs in the midwest,
US—first in Wisconsin then in Indianapolis—from labor, to food sovereignty, to co-housing, to (most recently) communications as a human right and asset sharing/ asset-based community development. I see my role as cultivating spaces for relationship-building within networks and between networks, especially across socio-economic, -racial, and other barriers. My contribution to that work is often through facilitation, logistics (engineering degree + visual-spatial learner = systems thinker), outreach, and through explaining tech for non-tech. One hat of note is my work with Enspiral as part of their Ambassadoring and Wellbeing working groups.

I love exploring, be it ideas, places, the web, potential collaborations, music (I listen, dance, and play), art... the list goes on. Feel free to chat me up via @coopchange on twtr or slack.

I'm here to listen, participate, and grow. Look forward to connecting.

Hi This is my first Loomio as well....so I'm learning!

I am Samantha Schartman-Cycyk. I am the Research Director and Board Member for the Connect Your Community Institute a 501c3 with a mission to advocate for Digital Inclusion for all. I have managed large-scale inclusion efforts (serving over 50,000 people) across 5 state regions and managed budgets of over 20 mil. I am part of the NTIA research working group, a founding member of NDIA (National Digital Inclusion Alliance) and also a contractor serving state and federal governments, nonprofit broadband service providers (EBSPs) and advocacy groups. I am extremely pragmatic and excel at creating structure around highly distributed networks of activity as well as crafting accountability structures and evaluation strategies.

I might not be the most adept at providing input on tech, but when it comes to organizing people, projects, and data and integrating with policy, I am a good resource.

I have been shallowly following the group due to being overburdened with several projects at the moment, but hope be more available beginning in June.
