Cosmo-local Reader

JR Jose Ramos Public Seen by 43

I'm starting this thread to have a place to have discussions about and work on the cosmo-local reader with people here. Sharon Ede, Gien Wong, myself and Michel Bauwens launched this initiative to gather the many ideas and currents in the thinking into one place.

The purpose of the Cosmo Local Reader is to create a new story, the story of homo-mutualis – the sharing / reciprocating human. We have the power to drive rapid change but our resources and capabilities are locked up in single-issue silos or captured by capital. We see Cosmo-Localism as one of the keys to unlocking our humanity’s collective resources. It is a critical coordinating strategy to produce what we need within our planetary boundaries, enable livelihoods, and respond effectively to our challenges. We intend to demonstrate how this is already happening, and what else is possible, by bringing together examples and perspectives which show the relationships in this emerging system of production and collaboration. you can have a look at the still in progress website here - https://cosmolocalization.wordpress.com/

First I'd like to offer an invitation to participate in a few straightforward ways.

1 - If you want to contribute an article or essay, we welcome your contribution. Guidelines are here: https://cosmolocalization.wordpress.com/

2 - We also need to do outreach to all the interesting cases around the world. We have a list of 40+ orgs and projects to contact and engage. If you know of cases that should be documented, let us know. If you want to write up a 1000 word case on one of these, that is also great.

3 - We are looking for sub-editors to take on particular aspects of the reader. If you're interested in being part of the editorial team, please let us know. All contributors and editors are acknowledge in the reader accordingly.
