Welcome! Please introduce yourselves!

I guess I'll start! I'm Eugene, and I'm the lead troublemaker behind this work. Kristin Cobble first introduced me to the mindset/behavior framework several years ago, and it was a big part of our work together at Groupaya. One of the questions that constantly came up was, should groups start this work from scratch or would it be better to pre-seed it?

We always favored starting from scratch, but there was always a seed of doubt in my mind about the tradeoff. I started thinking of how we might experiment with something that would give us the best of both worlds, and the idea of harvesting old work and creating flash cards came to mind.

I finally put this into practice in April 2014 with the help of Rebecca Petzel, and then began actively partnering with Amy to think more intentionally about the design of the cards (beyond just the mindsets).

I think these cards have the potential to make culture work far more grounded for groups with or without the help of an external consultant, which would ultimately help groups perform more effectively. I'm super excited about the potential and the early feedback, and I've been having a lot of fun prototyping and learning. I have no idea what the end result will be, but I'm excited to find out!
