We have received the following email from Till Adams as chair of the conference committee:
Dear board,
the conference committee has voted. We have a clear quorum for the Bucharest proposal.
So, as chair of the conference committee, I propose to accept the quorum and officially choose Bucharest as location for hosting our global FOSS4G 2019.

Although I am not quite happy to know that not all members of the conference committee voted and I would like to propose to the conference committee to look into why and try to solve it. This is one of the most important decisions every year, at least we should be sure the decision is taken with the best warrantees.

Maria we can reach out to the committee chair with your question, It may also be an opportunity to reduce the size of the conference committee over time based on participation.
