We’re living in a rapidly shifting reality - what can we make of it all?

Since our Zoom call on March 1st, the coronavirus has given a sharp new focus to the unprecedented problems we are facing. Suddenly everyone is talking about how we should respond to a global crisis threatening our existence. Is this in fact a rehearsal for the much bigger problems coming down the line with the environmental emergency?

How should we respond? AUK’s relaunched website offers 6 different entry points into an age of regenerative people power. Are they enough? How can we activate them even while we are in lock-down?

In this second (bi-monthly) co-creators Zoom call come and share your thoughts. Or more importantly, your plans.

The Coronavirus exposes cracks in the current system and presents opportunities to bring progressive solutions to the table. Across the world there are calls for some variety of a temporary basic income for those who will lose their income due to the virus. The gig economy workers, zero hour contractors, all those who get no sick pay and those who work in sectors where companies may collapse, like airlines. Means tested benefits are too slow to enact and rely on staff who may we’ll be quarantined. Being a global crisis it presents opportunities to propose global solutions. Universal healthcare is one, a truly universal, unconditional income is another. The world cannot stagger from one disruption to another without a financial and medical buffer available to all. The world needs new ideas right now and more than ever.

How did the zoom call go? We're there any shared notes / co-created plans?
