Kava Club member Mish and her sister are wanting to hold their first photographic exhibition at Tory St during a week in Dec 2-15
Wed 9th to Wed16th.
I’ve looked at the calendar and any clashes are easily resolved with Homy’s Teahouse peeps, Kahini Writers group etc.
I’m also happy to liaise and here is a spiel about the exhibition.

This page contains a selection of images from both Mishelle (Mish) and Tanya’s numerous photographic collections. Records captured using their own cameras and recently, other peoples cameras. A friend suggested they should exhibit their photos. So in preparation of their first ever exhibition, this online exhibition page precedes the physical. This is a taster of their passion for capturing the everyday moments.
MISHELLE MUAGUTUTI'A - archivist, documentor, image gatherer, aunty, observer. Mishelle has had a passion for photography since a young age. Her favourite camera was an analog SLR she bought for a fair price from a mate, however she is sure the sandy terrain in her old suburb of New Brighton damaged the mechanics. Her first digital camera was stolen after good use, returned, and then subsequently left at an airport. Mish has since used her phone, Ipad and borrowed others. Her favourite photos to take are of objects, buildings and event digital capturing. Mish is a great fan of her younger siblings images.
TANYA MUAGUTUTI'A - musician and organiser of events, people, projects and shows. Since a young age Tanya was always fascinated with photos and still loves to look through old photo albums - the ones in the form of a book. In 2003 Tanya got swept away with the instant nature of digital photography after her parents handed her a digital camera they’d won at the Christchurch Casino. By 2005 Tanya’s hundreds of photos of her three growing daughters and a digital photography course earned her, her very first camera as a birthday gift. Ten years on and a few colourful vistas and candid images of people throughout Aotearoa and the wider Pacific, the birthday present is broken leaving Tanya with a better eye, more passion for taking photos but, camera broke. Tanya’s favourite photos to take are of landscapes, candid and low light shots, musicians; and is into lines and patterns.

PS Obviously no images to display lol
