Mindfulness For Change Hui - Part 2

SJ Sarrah Jayne Public Seen by 397

Kia ora koutou

As you'll all know, we've been asking about how you're feeling since the hui and your thoughts and feelings about next steps. One of the overriding themes was a feeling of gratitude for the hui and the network We also heard a strong desire from you all for the network to meet again soon. We’d love to find a time that works for as many people as possible, yet we know it won’t be possible to find a time that works for everyone. We've pencilled in Friday 2nd December to Sunday 4th December, venue to be confirmed but probably near Wellington. Love to hear your thoughts, responses, and availability.

More conversation about the hui’s kaupapa will follow! :)

So sorry we can't make that date, but very happy for you to go ahead without us. It's important to keep the momentum up with regular connection. Big hugs to you all

I'm unsure if I can make it at this stage as plans are a little up in the air for me right now, but hope to make it.

For those who are able to make this date....How do you feel about camping?

Hi just learning Loomio have already agreed w the proposed dates not sure if this question is a new one.... so Rick and my thoughts/opinons are that it is a lovely idea to camp but Wellington's weather could make that a completely exhausting and vile experience (or a lovely one but this is unpredictable as our weather is so changeable) and exhausted sleep deprived people will be unlikely to get the maximum out of the hui experience. We appreciate the issue of cost and keeping that low, and think that investing in a secure structure where the logistics and infrastructure are also dealt with i.e. food, sleeping, toilets, enables the participants to fully engage, relax from busy/stressful weeks and develop enough trust and engagement to fully participate and benefit from the coming together..... So if I need to also make a Loomio hand movement on this one let me know (perhaps via Slack?)
