Process - Enhancing our cooperation

FB Fabio Balli Public Seen by 222

In the last weeks, there have been lots of discussions on different channels. Some affilates left the discussion.

In order to build a sense of belonging and intimacy, I believe that we need to set time to get to know each other better, learn about each other's project, and build a group (instead of an assembly of individuals).

My proposition is to address this with the goal of
- ensuring holoptism (the ability for any member to have knowledge of what the others are doing)
- enabling a group dialogue with minimal relevant information (reducing the noise)

Thank you for proposing this Fabio! I would love to participate. I think the human connection is the 'glue' that holds communities together... and I'd love to hear more about what people do, and what brings people to Sensorica.

This is probably a good idea, but personally I know I won't be able to do it (or very rarely), I have too many other things to do.

As long as it is not early in the morning...

I am agreement with @tammyleameyer about the human connection being the glue for communities.
Doing a newsletter or an automatic update on the Sensorica page JUST about the projects does not do the community any good. There are a lot of things that are going on in the community that are not related to any project. But they are of interest to me and other members.
Audio/Video conference works well but requires some careful management for time-zone difference. I was thinking of something along the lines of www.gomighty.com but for now, I am game for audio/video meetings.

@abrankhalid I would agree that doing an update JUST about the projects IS NOT SUFFICIENT, but it is helpful for people who are interested in participating or just commenting about the projects.
And I do agree that having face-to-face (even if it is "virtual" through web-cams or other video devices) is ALSO important and useful.

Let's organize a weekly meeting with following "game rules" Closed Sat 26 Sep 2015 1:08AM

Proposal of game rules in order to ensure dynamic meetings.

  • The gathering takes place weekly at the same time, and the people who are there are the right ones.
  • The gathering does not last more that the amout of people x 5 (another meeting can be organized if needed)
  • The gathering starts with a short roundtable where everyone can state their mindset (I feel...). This shall enable people who are living strong emotions to have this acknowledge and to be able to enter in the activity.
  • After that, the group offers a place for each person to say some words about where they are in their project (a success, a challenge).
  • In the end, there is a short roundtable where everyone say what they take from the gathering, or their commitment (for exemple I will contact X regarding his challenge).

Sounds great, but again, I doubt that I will ever be able to participate, so I abstain.

Someone needs to figure out a time so Montreal, Europe, and Pakistan can talk. We're an hour earlier than Montreal, but are early risers.
