Rename Desicion to Proposal

The term 'decision' in this place has provoked some hot blood in our group already as it sounds way more determined as particularly the early proposals in a discussions usually are meant to be.

There is too much semantical overloading of both words. Loomio seems to work best for me as a decision support tool and decisions are the products of a vote. The decision can be a big or little deal (hot or cold temp) but it's still a decision.

I think decision sticks better in line with Loomio's simplicity. Aditionally, in a group people make proposals in the discussion itself but from time to time a decision needs to take place.

"Motion" and "Proposal" are somewhat synonymous. "Decision" and "Proposal" are not.

I don't really see the logic of this Motion/Proposal - so I think a Decision should be taken to reject it...

I think there are many legitimate cases where as a community we need to make time sensitive decisions. In those cases the distinction between decision and proposal becomes clear, we would have no choice but to make a decision before a given deadline.

I find a problem with the title proposal. When and how does a proposal become a decision. If what is being considered is a proposal, then what happens next to reach a decision?

I dont disagree with the challenge about the way language is used but there is no one right answer. I would prefer to just move to developing options so people can pick the language right for each instance or group
