Starting A Coop Marketing Community With Dan Shipley
I was approached by a fellow named Dan Shipley on Twitter who asked me if I know any communities of people working in marketing for co-ops.
I am not aware of such community, so we thought we could set one up - ideally as part of P6. He would be interested in having a call next week on 3-5 UK time on any day except Monday.
Would someone be interested in joining the call? Ill start a Loomio poll on the time.

We talked about it quite briefly but if I understood correctly he means a community of people involved in marketing co-ops. Heres a quote from him:
"I wonder what it would look like to put something together, even if it was just a grown-up version of some of those coop discord groups with some of social coop governance. I bet a place to share press lists, talk shop, and just learn from each other might be super cool. I have seen slack groups filling this niche for some professionally oriented communities. Idk though - what are your thoughts. "

So now I'm slightly more confused. That could be either of the two examples I gave; and now a third option occurs - Are we talking about "marketing co-ops" as a type of co-op consortium?

Nothing has been set in stone yet. Im imagining just a community of marketing people working for coops.

I read this as an interest in the idea of a networking forum for people with an interest in marketing within the co-operative economy. On that basis it could cover a fairly wide spectrum of subject matter.

Actually something's come up that I can't avoid - I can't make 5pm tomorrow (Tuesday). Really sorry. I understand totally if you want to push ahead regardless, but if it is OK to re-schedule I'd be up for that.

Do you know what he means by marketing @leosammallahti ? In my experience people use the term for different things. Does he mean promotion (of co-ops in general or individual co-ops) or does he mean the whole marketing mix - understanding your product/service from the point of view of a customer - product/customer, price, place, promotion etc?
