Homeless Link estimate the number of hidden homeless people at 400,000 throughout the UK. In one constituency, it is not difficult to provide opportunities for these people. If nothing else, we can at least help the roughly 100 people sleeping rough!

This is a socially just and valuable objective.

I went to the St. Mungos hostel in Hither Green and the work they do is terrific, but incredibly focussed on local government support. I believe our representative should be directly campaigning to end homelessness with the knowledge and experience of such groups.

I agree with this proposal. But living far from Lewisham and knowing little about the area, people or the decision makers, I have little understanding of the local conditions. As such I agree with the proposal on principle grounds, but if opposition based on local knowledge and understanding is argued I will probably change my position to Abstain.
