Should we add something about political corruption and running for office? I have heard from my family that many political parties and members have ongoing corruption investigations but are still able to hold office without issues.

Further ideas:
1. Grant asylum to honest whistleblowers
2. Actively end child slavery in India (and purchasing international products known to use slavery)
3. Remove briberies from administrative processes (government and schools)
4. Create a business startup culture (provide education and resources to start a business, simplify business startup process, provide beneficial grants/loans) (according to subsidiarity, each state/city should have its own method of executing this)

good points. but let me share my doubts. points already added in the current manifesto like abolishing death penalty and repealing AFSPA are something that can be done by passing a law if Pirate Party gets into power. but for things like child slavery and bribery, there already exists laws against them. so other than simply saying we will end child slavery or bribery when we get into power, is there something specific which we can really do to end them? if yes, i think that's what we should add to the manifesto. what do you think?

@ambadyanands That is very true. I shall do more research into those 2 matters (child slavery / bribery) and bring up more measurable/achievable items for the manifesto (and will do so for all future proposals to the manifesto).

@ambadyanands I've completed a small analysis on bribery in India. I believe there are 3 solutions that can be implemented and potentially added to the Manifesto under fighting bribery. The attachment has my analysis and reasons behind their effectiveness:
1. Greater authority for the CVC
2. Greater autonomy for local / state government bodies to execute projects at their level with minimum federal intervention
3. Civics class held once a week so that students understand their rights and responsibilities to society

I think the solution has to address root causes of the issue. I think social inequalities has a big role in corruption.

What is wrong if a person wants good quality education for their children? As long as we fail to provide good quality education to every one, people would want to earn money for their children's education. If they can't get the money via legal means, they will resort to illegal means including bribery.

Another reason could be giving dowry for daughter's wedding. If we can't stop the practice of dowry, how can we expect a person not to provide good dowry to their daughters?

It could also be about having an expensive life style or simply amassing wealth.

@ambadyanands I've completed a small analysis on slavery in India. I believe there are 3 solutions that can be implemented and potentially added to the Manifesto under fighting slavery. The attachment has my analysis and reasons behind their effectiveness:

  1. Informing the poor of their rights, the consequences of debt bondage, appropriate law enforcement and CVC contacts, and means of earning a decent income
  2. Greater authority for local CVC tiers so that they can work out problems specific to their locale + greater cooperation between anti-slavery charity and community groups, local CVC tiers, and local law enforcement
  3. Awarding honest companies and charities for their work in fighting slavery.
