Combined poster for New Brighton events on 3rd November Closed Fri 28 Sep 2012 5:03AM

I think, but am not sure, that the City Council was offering to create a co-ordinated poster.
On Nov 3rd there is: NB Market
St Faiths Fair
Community Gardens Open Day
Fishing Day
Launch of Mural Madness
Launch of sheds in old charity barn site.
Anything else??
Carnival on the foreshore also.

This merits a good poster and city wide advertising in the press. How can we best combine?

Thanks for getting this ball rolling, Te Waka Aroha crew! I was about to suggest that, alongside the Brighton website development that it would be a good idea to commission a local graphic designer to:
a) create a brand for greater Brighton and (used on the site)
b) when there are days like 3rd November for example, that we use that brand (alongside all contributing organisation's brands) in promoting the occasion.

Yes please! The idea was also put foward recently to have a recognisable poster for each of the main central Brighton organisations that are regularly advertising events, maybe a boarder or colour as well as our logos, so that the public can easily figure out who is running each event. Also as a way for the community to start to identify which organisation runs which type of events. Any interest in that idea? At the moment the Community Gardnes has a white poster with a colourful vege & fruit boarder.

I think this is a very sensible idea, and if we could identify a couple of highly visible areas to regularly display this info that would be great too.

This is already being put together by New Brighton Project as discussed at the community network forum, and will be printed by Jacqui Miller, Christchurch City Council very soon. It will have a map on the flip-side showing people where to find all the fantastic events on the day. A flyer for New Brighton showing where to find places on a daily basis is a great idea New Brighton Community Gardens! Perhaps we can use the Nov 3rd as a starting point for putting it together.
