Strategy for 2018-19

I struggle to articulate my "take ownership of the map" argument (in Target Messages).
Kate Chapman's story of why she joined OSM (in Steve Coast's Book of OSM) is a good example that she wanted to show her estate had as many nice parks as the neighbouring upper class estate. Maybe we need some good UK examples.

Thanks to all who have contributed ideas. It would be good to have some more input, and a bit more organisation to the doc before our next Board Meeting on 12 July. We really need to finalise it then and get cracking. If we leave it another month 25% of the year will have gone!
To spread the work involved we need volunteers even for micro elements ;-)

Hi @brianprangle. I have gone through and tried to highlight some priority areas. They are:

• Promote QPs outside of OSM channels.
• Run an October event (aligned with an ODI node or similar existing group).
• Focus on developers and website builders as the main groups. Additional focus groups to be aligned with QPs.
• Get the roster set up so that we are ready to link people to projects if requested.
• Website improvements (focused on helping people navigate existing content, rather than new content creation).
• Develop a list of projects that are of academic interest.

I think that is quite a lot of work still so wouldn't want to add too much more to it.

I've given it a good going at this morning. Turned the wording into a set of actions that you can agree to do (or not...we might be trying to achieve too much). I'm going to leave it now. Could another Director do some more editing please?
