Invited guests (non-CoTech members) for Wortley Hall
A thread for people to suggest non-CoTech members for invites to Wortley Hall. At 8 September planning meeting it was agreed that anyone who does not work for a tech worker co-op could only be invited by agreement on Loomio. If no-one gets agreed here then everyone at the event will work for a uk-based tech worker co-op.
Unless otherwise stated, the agreement is to invite the specified person/organisation but not to subsidise their ticket - they pay the same price as other attendees.

kawaiipunk represents one of our member co-ops in another capacity and it would be good to meet!

Mills and/or Sinx (Fouders of Ustwo) Closed Fri 13 Oct 2017 9:03AM
The Founders of Ustwo are committed to never selling their agency and are very supportive of what we're trying to do. Maybe we can convince them to join us :)

I don't know enough about them to be able to make a decision so abstaining for now

Maybe they are interested. I'm highly sceptical given my brief experience of doing business with Mills. Either way, inviting them is not the way to get them in

The Centre for Accellertated Social Technology is a charity (rather than a co-op) but is doing a great job of developing the sector and is very supportive of CoTech.

If space is short - which is what seems to be the case - priority should go to member co-ops rather than people doing related good stuff

I'm not clear on how they will be of benefit to the event and the discussions we will be having

Reason Digital is interested in potentially becoming a co-op and are probably the leading example of a social enterprise that we'd like to win over to a co-operative model.
