Jorn Bettin started a dot vote Fri 30 Aug 2019

Aims of the autism civil rights movement You have until Fri 31 Dec 2049 to participate.

Please allocate 100 points to reflect your preferences and priorities. All voters are able to add further options to the list and to allocate points to these options. The aims / options you currently see are just two initial ideas to prompt further input. In the interest of full transparency all votes are public. This decision making process is ongoing (hence the end date in 2049) and you can update your allocation of points and introduce further options at any time.

241 - Recognition of autistic traits as natural variations of cognition, motivations, and patterns of behaviour within the human species.
49 - An inclusive society must provide adequate physical spaces that constitute a safe environment for autistic activities, including public spaces that provide protection from sensory overload.
95 - Have more events that are autistic space.
115 - Make universal design part of the planning process and building regulations so the public and private environments become better for everyone.
53 - Active recruitment to leadership and management positions in Autistism NGO's
70 - Ensure the voice of all autists is heard, including of those who don't speak.
90 - Provide forums for autistic organisations to liaise and coordinate.
70 - Find organisational structure that deal with the problems of bullies (not being called out) and exclusion (which can be devastating for some autists who have already been excluded from most of society)

I want to fix a typo in one of the options

I am waiting for more options to be added by others before allocating further points.

15 - Make universal design part of the planning process and building regulations so the public and private environments become better for everyone.
15 - Have more events that are autistic space.
8 - Recognition of autistic traits as natural variations of cognition, motivations, and patterns of behaviour within the human species.
5 - An inclusive society must provide adequate physical spaces that constitute a safe environment for autistic activities, including public spaces that provide protection from sensory overload.

I don't get how Loomio works. First time I added options I lost them as they're not auto-saved. Now after having voted, there doesn't seem be any way to add more options.

If you select the "edit response" to update your vote you should see "add options" towards the bottom of the screen. Unless you are in "edit mode" I don't think you can add options.

Since the voting is entirely transparent, please note that people can:
(1) Use their points strategically. When someone does not allocate any points to a particular aim, it it does not mean the person does not support that goal, it just means that the person believes that other important goals don't yet have an adequate profile.
(2) Reallocate points to a new aim that more clearly articulates another aim. This allows us to develop and evolve a shared language. I for example have reallocated points from an option that I created earlier because someone else has come up with a more succinct description.

I enjoy that you have reallocated points because I am wanting digital tools for evolving debate.

For those wondering how to change votes and/or add options, when joined to the group, in the beta interface of Loomio (it was easier when not in the group!). You need to find your first vote, then click on the pencil icon at the bottom left of your vote. This will get you to another screen where you should be able to figure things out (click on the 'Change vote' button). Note though that to add an option you need to change your vote (even if you decide not to change your vote).

It feels that this type of Loomio vote was not meant to be edited over a period of time though obviously it can be used that way. It's weird as either it is possible, as it is, and the interface should be more obvious. Or this functionality should be disabled completely as otherwise someone might somehow change a poll that shouldn't have been. Or I missed the intention of the interface design for this feature.
