Can someone give me example of how to use dot voting and polling in a thread

For ranked choice voting, it is worth following the principles of the de Borda preferendum.
If you give one point to the lowest choice, 2 to the second lowest and so on and add them up to make a score, it shows consensus if the score is 75% of the maximum possible score.

All I know is it is important to get clear among all participants what your purposes and objectives are. At Black and Tan Hall we did a Ranked Choice poll and tried to explain to everyone that it was not a formal proposal for a consensus process; however many still took the resulting highest ranked choice as the consensus of the whole group -- confusion reigned. Is there a good simple tutorial somewhere that can be used to bring everyone on board and familiar with the Loomio Platform?? Loomio "Help" is indeed helpful; but us numbskulls get confused easily. :-(
