Project:Micro grants for sponsoring local chapter startups
This is a conceptual request, We are not asking for funds this round. We hope this proposal will allow us to structure a direct request.
We expect this conversation to begin an “pseudo-on-boarding process” as we are volunteers. Regardless, we Volunteer to make you more effective at volunteering. We believe this is the first step in working towards a badging, mentoring, and easily-accessible reference system that is available to anyone who wishes to help, and allows those who wish to go further to have many paths that will continue in this structured manner. Mentoring will be based towards badging, 3d-printing, & potential paths others have taken in their research. This should be done in the best way to include privacy and standards set forth based on age guidelines (again this is all pre-draft, thus, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. If we add work with no benefit after having first studied and such, then, we make the evaluation. We think it’s badass, that’s we we are writing this! (Patrick said this crass curse. All me).
Estimate of Work is branched off into here.
- Using the already built foundation we hope to direct towards a “mentor & Intro” concept for people who may want to learn more, or who may want to further development research and furtherance of community research.
The timeline for this project will be 2 stages:
- 1 stage “2-part of pre-draft & Proposal”
- Whatever we build upon from this concept.
Responsibility will be allocated to those showing initiative and commitment. The pre-draft is this draft.
No funding is being requested. If the interest and skillset is available we will be turning this into a proper proposal with the communities input. This will involved variables that I do not know, that is why we have these fancy meetings. Eventually stuff gets done, trust me, I do not live in a box. How would I charge my laptop? But we will do this as a team! If you know anyone in a box, or worse situation, give them a hug, some food :).
From what I understand “Jon runs shit”. I haven’t questioned it, no need, not ever coming up. Do as ya’ll see fit, but he hasn’t asked me to leave yet. Marco will have to fill
in Marco’s section. Patrick is, well, as above, they haven’t asked me to leave yet.
All of this was from Jeremy's initial template, the following is direct "copy and paste". Thank you!
Ownership of work products
In the spirit of the e-NABLE community, any work products resulting from a funded project will be considered open source and available for anyone to use. Please be prepared to share your work so others may benefit from your results.
To Submit a Project Proposal
To submit a project proposal, go to the main E-nablio page on Loomio and click the New Decision button, then select Proposal. Copy and paste the template content below and provide the details for your proposal. Set the voting duration to at least one week (preferably longer) to allow sufficient community input.
Each project proposal must receive at least 15 votes with at least 80% of the votes in support of the project in order to be approved. This number of required votes may increase in the future, as participation in this process grows stronger.
To be approved, both criteria (minimum number of votes and percentage support) must be met. For example, if a proposal has 20 "Agree" votes and 10 "Disagree" votes, that would meet the minimum number of votes, but it would not meet the required percentage (since only 66.7% of the votes are in support of the project). In this case, the project would not be approved.

They are on Fridays at 11? Led by Jeremy? How many minutes can we allocate?
Sun 15 Jul 2018
Yes, I'd like to 'attend' (most of) these meetings but need to get it on my calendar.
What's the link? (Or is a new one posted every week? If so, can I "subscribe"?)
Tue 17 Jul 2018
Yes we can certainly discuss this at a meeting. @jeremysimon does the scheduling. We can devote the full hour. I will be back from my travels on Aug 1. Perhaps we could have the meeting at 11am EST Aug 3.
