Digital Life Collective
Just came across https://diglife.com/ in a post one of their members made on a facebook group I'm in where he said:
"I'm excited to be a co-founding member of the new Digital Life Collective. An amazing group of people is coming together to help build "technology we trust for the world we want." It's a global cooperative, currently incorporated in the UK, and we mean business! If you want to support the creation of tools that protect your privacy, are decentralized, and are inclusive/accessible to all, this effort is one way to do so.
Our initial goal is to raise 16K sterling, and in just a few days, we're 1/5 of the way there! The ultimate goal is orders of magnitude beyond this, but we're jsut getting started. Give us a hand and become a member?"

Yes, several CoTech members involved. Plus CoTech has often come up in discussions in the collective. It's a very ambitious project. But hey!

@shaunfensom are they eligible for membership of CoTech and, if so, are they in our tractor beam?

@harryrobbins Well:
a) Digital Life Collective is international, although initially registering in the UK. Being international was an issue in the case of DTC.
b) Digital Life Collective is not a worker co-op. It is a kind of super-multi-stakeholder co-op. It will admit private businesses but that is arguably a red herring: the vast majority of its members are/will be people who make software and people who use it.
So, I assumed that the Collective would not fit the CoTech template although, arguably, it is an edge case. So tractor beam not activated. Yet.
CoTech on the other hand would make a very welcome member of Digital Life Collective as would all of the members of CoTech.

Sir, they're polarised their shield harmonics and they're pulling us in

But the incompatible phase dynamics could cause us to go critical

I can't work out exactly what they plan to develop for their members, or if it will be Free software, but I guess they are planning something big...
