Adopt BUN protocol Closed Fri 8 Feb 2019 5:00PM

Officially adopt the BUN protocol (original info here: https://dna.crisp.se/docs/bun-protocol.html)

TLDR; A tiny framework to improve handling of time-critical opportunities within a decentralized community that works by increasing the individul agent's capacity to sort incoming information.

What does this practically mean? What would this change and what issue/tension at hand would this solve? Too little info to vote on this..

I think the ideas are sound and I think it applies to things whether decentralized or not. I would argue a lot of people are following such an approach already. My only concern is adding another methodology to the mix. I think everyone works differently so I'm not sure we need to ask people to follow such an approach, but rather check it out as it might be useful in your suit of time management tools.

It is a very useful model, however It would be much more useful, in my opinion, if we were already working within some type of institutional contact management system, whereby all of our projects and communications were tracked like github if it was also a CMS. However, it seems that in our decentralized group, everyone has their own style and methodologies for taking care of their own business. Using it as a general guideline, or advice for communications in/outside group may be helpful.

Simple lightweight framework, personally adopting it as I like resolving loops wherever possible! Some buns go stale but cest la vie, gotta try :p

I love metaphorical protocols - it's a simple framework for deciding if we can and want to own something then follow through, or pass it on. I think it will be a useful tool for identifying actions that need to be taken during meetings, and communicating with each other in a lighthearted format.
