Let me start this off: I'm nee, aka Chrystalleni, hack66's Communications Officer and this project's current co-ordinator--an honour I'm eager to share! I've been working to develop this project & fill in the application for Burning Man Arts with the help of others in the hack66 community along with members of the Lefkosia Hackerspace. This is a voluntary project for me, one in a series of projects on openness I've worked on, and arguably the most sophisticated one. I enjoy working on it because it is about play and because it involves a number of serious challenges: How do we bring what is compelling in the language around the Burning Man festival to relate to things that we need to get done in Cyprus? How can we leverage this big international brand name to mobilise around ideas of radical openness in our own terms, without this devolving into a type of self-colonisation? And how do we.. hahh--realising this isn't the place for this! More elsewhere :D

Hey! I'm Giannis, also a member of hack66 (no fancy titles attached). I'll be one of those people who'll be using such a space as the one described by our Communications Officer..
Me, I'm into flying machines. More specifically, thinking flying machines. Think of the T-1000 with rockets up its... Dreadful, I know...
Anyway.. I would be more interested in using the space and its specialized machinery to facilitate my builds.
Hopefully there would be other like-minded people there to share and expand ideas with and accomplish our goals of global domination etc...

Achilleas Kentonis Fri 30 Jan 2015 10:52AM

Hello guys,
I am Achilleas Kentonis I remember the day Marion and Chrystalleni came and propose the creation of a hacker space a few year back i really did believe in them and the project. As Artist as Scientist, as Innovation Gym and as ARTos foundation joined hack66, provide space and infrastructure and contribute with projects, workshops from experts from abroad etc. I Arts - Science and Innovation supporting marginal creative open platform projects but basically i go crazy about brain waves interaction, experimental music and alternative socio-political architecture in the form of public intervention and sustainability. I believe in openness, synergy and collaboration. If this is not present either i go to sleep mode or i go ahead and execute the project as promised on the last meeting. :-)
So i am interested to so more female makers as well and definitely we need to have more brains thinking towards the open platforms, making, hacking, creativity and start-up in a self stained manner.
For me Hack66 should blend free thinking, vision and FUN. Based on what chrystalleni says to support do-ocracy i say i am 100% and i am anxious to see more on board for a journey of discovery.

Hi! I'm Christakis member of hack66 i'm in for the fun ride such a project will provide! The opportunity to provide an open platform that will promote creativity in all fields that sees no physical boundaries between people and bring together all communities living on this island is something that you simply cannot miss!

Hi there!

Marios, member of the hack66, interested in flat structures and distributed interconnected systems. Think of it in the context of Burning Man and you get the idea of why I am here. I build things that make sure the Internet is free. Catalyst and space storyteller.
