Douglas Racionzer (Brian Millington's successor as lead coop developer at Hackney Coop Developments) has shared with me a manual he used in SA which he thinks could be adapted as a resource for pre- or pre-pre startup groups here. I attach it. I've got to Meeting 4 but it's interesting, especially with the emphasis on democratic participation and open/honest/supportive communication and defining/implementing projects that might eventually become coop programmes. I think many groups stumble over basic group formation, mutual commitment, and overestimation of their practical knowledge (as distinct from formal education, which mainly unprepares people for cooperation). Thoughts?

Thanks Sion. Yes the manual is well written methinks? The examples are very South African and may distract British cooperators?
