PMB Pamela M Bramley Public Seen by 304

Inviting anyone to put up links of properties either for purchase or lease that you think would be suitable for a CoHOP community. Please do a short summary of the advantages and disadvantages that you see comes with your suggestion. Another thing to consider is wether you would like to live their or you would like to own shares/part ownership in your suggested property

What I love about this is that it's in Karamea, an incredibly special place north of Westport, with a climate similar to Nelson's. Very lush and lots of special people living here. I looked at this particular piece of land and it is truly amazing - lots of bush, vege gardens, fruit trees, totally solar and off grid. Only expenses are internet and rates.

The disadvantage (to some) is that it is very remote - about 2hrs north of Westport over a big mountain range. Residents of Karamea tend to go out to Westport once a month to stock up, but grow a lot of their own veggies. This is all an advantage to me though. And with this particular property it takes a lot of work to keep the non bush areas clear - a perfect place for WOOFERS.

Really good price too - very lovely and special place. It also has a bach on the property. Very private - no-one would know a few tiny homes where parked there!

What I loved about this property was the already established 10 acres of well maintained Lusitanica Cypress and two acres of Douglas Fir with an additional 80 olive trees and 150 pine nut trees. This is a property that would require to be built on. My vision would be an initial large community education kitchen building which included 10 or so apartment type rooms within. I have not visited this property so am unsure of the climate or isolation factor. It is situated in Upper Moutere inland between Motueka and Richmond/Nelson .

It really is - has a very special feel. And there's also a stone circle - tons of potential.
