How should we describe the system surrounding UNicoins? Closed Wed 24 Mar 2021 11:03PM

Thanks everyone for voting!

The most popular terminology was "ecosystem" (4 votes) and "commons" (3 votes). I am wondering though if we want to adopt these or if we want to discuss further... 7 ppl voted so both are only around half of the group supporting and for example both @Eleonora Gatti & @Akash K P who have been very active working on white paper didn't opt for either of these... Please comment particularly those who didn't vote for either if you'd be fine "live with" these terms or if you suggest a different approach, thanks!

At the moment the following are all included at different points in the paper:

  • UNicoins ecosystem

  • community incentive-driven ecosystem of collaboration

  • UNicoins system

  • UNicoins network

  • UNicoins economy

  • UNicoins project

  • internal circular economy

  • circular economy of internal talent and expertise

I would suggest that we select one or max 2 and use those consistently so as not to confuse the reader. I wonder if "commons" might be interesting to think about? 馃

ecosystem

Ecosystem invites the reader to think of Unicoins as something nice, collaborative, good for the planet:)

system
ecosystem

would once more go for simplicity as the topic is already tricky enough. I would see it less as a network, and commons is not so well known as a term. I also like internal circular economy, but would rather use it to explain the concept in general!

internal circular economy

circular economy of internal talent and expertise -- this put the focus on the talent and expertise rather than UNicoins

Terminology - external collaborators or just collaborators? Closed Thu 18 Mar 2021 11:03AM

Thanks all! We reached a unanimous decision 馃槻 to remove "external collaborators" and use "collaborators" instead 馃帀

In the subsection on collaborator-led application, the term "external collaborator" is used. Both @Klas Mold茅us and I picked up on this as potentially confusing/misleading as everyone is a collaborator within the UN system and the members of the "agile teams" are already collaborators finding each other through marketplace and then working with additional collaborators. Please choose your preferred option or provide an alternative until 10am!

Remove "external collaborators" and use "collaborators" instead

See how it could be confusing

Terminology - manager-led or project manager-led? Closed Thu 18 Mar 2021 11:03AM

Outcome

Another unanimous decision 馃槻 to adjust to "project manager-led"

See comment in doc regarding whether the current "manager-led" should be "project manager led", also in line with conecta approach whereby project managers can post looking for collaborators. I find project managers a bit softer so wonder if it makes it sound a bit less hierarchical but maybe that's just me. Please indicate your thought/propose something else by 10am!
