New Feature: Import Contacts

AI Alanna Irving Public Seen by 294

You now have the option to import your contacts, which makes it a lot easier to add people to Loomio groups. Now, you don't have to remember or copy/paste individual email addresses - you can just start typing names and suggestions will pop up. So far we've only released this for Google contacts, but we'll be rolling out more services soon.

How to Import Contacts

If you click "invite people" on your group's page, you'll see a link under the box where you put email addresses: "Import your contacts from Google". Click here.

Then you need to grant permission for Loomio to see your list of contacts. We will use this information for no other purpose except helping you select people to add to your group (we've added this function to the list of third party services related to the privacy policy ).

Then when you come back to the invitations page, you can find your contacts by simply starting to type their name. If you've done this process once, your contacts will be available for you for all your groups from then on.

Let us know what you think
Give it a try! Do you find the feature easy to use? Is it working for you? What other services would you most like to see as options to import from (we're currently working on Yahoo and Facebook)?

I don't need it - but I see, that I can import my adresses in the field - that is fine.
