Practitioners: do you want to feature on the NFGS website?
Dear all we want to refresh the website with all those who would like to advertise their practice as forest gardeners.
We are particularly interested in welcoming those who practice in urban settings, including in more deprived communities, but the invitation is nevertheless an open one.
If this appeals, please share a paragraph about yourself, a photo, and say something about your experience as a forest gardener.
It’s important that you are willing to practice in line with the Principles we agreed together to guide forest gardening in community and publicly accessible spaces.
Finally as a Board we're agreed we need more hands on experience. If you'd like to feature on the site or even if you'd prefer not to, please consider joining the Board! I'm sure any one of us would be happy to have a conversation with you about this. Let us know.

Red Heart Tree is a new, little CIC in the far west of Cornwall set up to promote and facilitate community permaculture development especially forest gardening. We have an ongoing 2.3 acre forest garden planting project, and have helped to start two new tree planting projects locally this year, introducing information about forest gardening into them as much as possible and specifically promoting tree planting that is useful for developing productive gardens in the future. One of these projects is willing to plant anywhere and we are coordinating with the local town council to to plant on some council land in the town. The other project is coordinating with a housing association and several other local community groups to plant on fairly extensive areas around social housing. Personally i have an Ecology and gardening background and i continue to learn as i go. Lyla Byrne.
